CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in Austin Sunday night, police said.
The shooting occurred in the 1000 block of North Lavergne Avenue at 8:34 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Officers found the man unresponsive after he was shot in his head and back.
The victim was identified as Lonnell Holmes by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
