Pick-Up Driver Rams Another Truck, Killing Other Driver In Gage Park

CHICAGO — The driver of a pick-up rammed another truck and dragged it two blocks, killing the other driver in Gage Park early Sunday morning, police said.

The incident started in the 5500 block of South Kedzie Avenue at 2:15 a.m. Police are treating the incident as a homicide.

The driver of a black pick-up intentionally rammed a red 1998 Ford Ranger pick-up and dragged it two blocks to the 5700 block of Kedzie Avenue where it struck a tree.

The driver of the red truck, 21, was extricated from his vehicle and taken to Stroger Hospital where he died.

He was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Eduardo A. Pena of the 5300 block of South Fairfield Avenue.

The driver of the black truck fled the scene and no one is in custody.
