CHICAGO — A Humboldt Park woman was charged in connection with a robbery during which an 81-year-old man was pushed down the stairs at the Washington/Wabash "L" stop.

Victoria Dollarson, 25, of the 3200 block of West Evergreen Avenue, faces a count of robbery of a victim over 60 years old after she was identified as the attacker.

The victim was getting off a Brown Line train at 9:25 p.m. when the robber "ripped" his cellphone from his hand.

A scuffle followed, and the suspect punched the victim in the face before pushing him down the stairs at the "L" station, said Officer Brandi Wright, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries, including bleeding on his brain.

Dollarson was arrested Thursday night.
