Rodney Wilson, 19, Killed In Shooting In Bronzeville

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man died the day after a shooting in Bronzeville, officials said.

At 8:01 p.m. Tuesday, the man was in a car in the 4700 block of South Forrestville Avenue when someone walked up to him and they got into an argument, police said. The other person then fired shots.

The man was hit in his chest and he took himself to Provident Hospital. He was later transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Rodney Wilson, of the 10700 block of South Eberhart, was pronounced dead at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound in his right arm and torso in a homicide.

No one was in custody.
