BRIDGEPORT — Mark Sheridan Academy is providing kids a safe trick-or-treating destination — and adults a chance to get in the Halloween spirit — at its "Trunk-or-Treat" Festival Friday.

The second annual fall festival will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Friday in the school's parking lot, 533 W. 27th St., where the trunks of cars and vans will be decked out in Halloween decor. The decorated cars will act as trick-or-treat stops for the kids.

Prizes will be rewarded to the most creative and best themed trunk, according to the school.

Kids are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes, and there will be a bouncy house and other games for kids, as well as the trick-or-treating. Music, food trucks and craft vendors will also be on hand, the school said.

Admission for kids is $5, while adults are free. Money raised from the event will help Sheridan Academy buy 40 new tablets for its students.
