CHICAGO — A body was found near Montrose Beach on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
At 2 p.m., the person's body was found in the water near the beach, 4400 N. Lake Shore Drive, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Authorities were not immediately able to confirm the person's age or gender.
The body might be that of a person who was spotted in the water near Foster Beach at 11:27 a.m. Tuesday, a police source said. Authorities had been unable to find that person due to the day's adverse weather and water conditions.
