CHICAGO — A man found dead in Gage Park last week was killed in a shooting, officials have determined.
On Friday, the man — later identified as Reynaldo Trevino, 47 — was found dead in the 5800 block of South Sawyer Avenue, police said. He was unresponsive and had a possible puncture wound in his leg.
Trevino was pronounced dead at 1:24 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
An autopsy showed Trevino died from a gunshot wound in a lower right extremity in a homicide.
Police were investigating.
