Roseland Shooting Kills Deylion Spencer, 22, And Wounds 2 Others

CHICAGO — A shooting in Roseland left one man dead and two others wounded early Tuesday, police said.

At 12:58 a.m., the men were sitting in a car in the 8600 block of South Halsted Street when someone walked up to them and fired several shots into the car, officials said. The men then drove to the 200 block of West 107th Street and called police.

One man was hit in his back. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said.

Deylion Spencer, 22, was pronounced dead at 1:43 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A 24-year-old man was hit twice in his arm and in his abdomen, and a 25-year-old man was hit three times in his arm and in his leg and buttocks. The men were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where they were in serious condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
