NORWOOD PARK — Seven months after seeing its first patients at 7148 W. Higgins Ave., Norwood Park's Athletico Physical Therapy studio will hold a "grand opening" event to connect with neighbors Thursday, its manager said.
"Now that we've settled in a bit, we want to hold an event to make ourselves a little more established," facility manager Joe Godziszewski said.
With more than 50 locations around the city and 650 nationwide, Athletico found a fitting home in Norwood Park, Godziszewski said.
"There are a lot of city workers and hard-working people in this area, so we see a decent amount of [work compensation] injuries," Godziszewski said. "We do a lot of work conditioning to get them back to work and back to their families quick."
The facility also offers video analysis for athletes, offering tips to runners and baseball pitchers on how to tweak their form to prevent injury.
Athletico Physical Therapy will host its grand opening from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursday. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
