CHICAGO — Three men were arrested after stealing purses from a Mag Mile store on Friday morning, police said.
At 11:45 a.m., officers patrolling in the 900 block of North Michigan Avenue saw a man run out of a store while carrying multiple purses, police said. The man got into a car with two other people and went east on Maple.
Officers followed the car, which later crashed into several other cars, police said. The men got out and tried to run away, but officers detained them, police said.
Three people were in custody and charges were pending, police said. The purses were found.
