LINCOLN SQUARE — Lincoln Square is one of the most vibrant communities in Chicago, but one thing has been noticeably missing from the area — a civic organization.

Efforts to create a block club fizzled a couple of years ago but are now being revived. Organizers of the new Heart of Lincoln Square Neighbors Association are inviting all interested residents to the group's first meeting, 7 p.m. Monday at Carbon Arc, 4614 N. Lincoln Ave.

The association will represent neighbors in the area bounded by Damen, Western, Montrose and Lawrence.
