Robberies In Bridgeport, McKinley Park Prompt Police Warning

BRIDGEPORT — Police are asking Bridgeport and McKinley Park residents to be on the lookout after a string of robberies in the area.

At least three people have been robbed since Saturday, police said in a community alert. In the incidents, a man and woman walk up to victims in the street and demand their belongings.

The robberies occurred at:

• 12:50 a.m. Sunday in the 3600 block of South Archer Avenue

• 12:15 a.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of South Kelley Street

• 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4000 block of South California Avenue

The robbers are described as one Hispanic man and a Hispanic woman, police said. The man is between 5-foot and 5-foot-8, age 17-22, weighing between 120 and 150 pounds and with black, shaggy hair.

The woman is between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-4, age 17-22 and weighing about 120-150 pounds.
