13-Year-Old Boy Shot In South Deering

CHICAGO — A 13-year-old boy was shot in South Deering on Wednesday, police said.

At 4:10 p.m., the boy was walking in the 2300 block of East 100th Street when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

A bullet had grazed the boy's buttocks. He ran to a home to call 911 and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
