Dantrell Morgan, 24, Dies After Being Shot In Englewood

CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man died after a shooting in Englewood on Thursday, officials said.

At 2:09 a.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired found the man lying in grass in the 7100 block of South Carpenter Street, police said.

The man had been shot in the left side of his body and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

Dantrell Morgan, of the 7100 block of South Morgan Avenue, was pronounced dead at 10:28 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
