CHICAGO — Two robbers pushed an 80-year-old woman to the ground and grabbed her purse Tuesday in Lincoln Park, police said.
At 5:18 p.m., the woman was outside in the 1400 block of West Altgeld Street when two people walked up to her, pushed her down and snatched her purse off her arm, police said. The thieves ran away.
The woman refused medical treatment, police said. Officers searched the area but couldn't find the robbers.
The robbers were described as two black boys or men, police said. One was 15-21 years old, 5-foot-7 and weighed 140-159 pounds. The other was 12-16 years old, 5-foot-4 and 120 pounds.
The woman's purse contained money and personal items, police said. An investigation was underway.
