Angelo Terrell, 25, Shot Dead In Garfield Park

CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

At 3:38 p.m., the man was standing in the 300 block of South Kilbourn Avenue when someone walked toward him, took out a gun and fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his head and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Angelo Terrell, of suburban Bellwood, was pronounced dead at 4 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed Terrell died from a gunshot wound in his head in a homicide.

The gunman wore a black hooded sweatshirt, police said.

No one was in custody.
