HYDE PARK — Hyde Park is hosting a 5K race on Sept. 23 to raise money for breast cancer research.

The run will start at 8 a.m. Sept. 23 at Harold Washington Park, 5200 S. Hyde Park Blvd. and head up the lakefront and back.

The full race will take runners from the park across the bridge at Hyde Park Boulevard to the lakefront, up to 43rd Street and then turn around and come back to the park.

Registration starts at 7 a.m. and is $40 for adults and $20 for children younger than 18 years old.

Proceeds benefit Cancer Research and Awareness NFP.
