Recycle Your Old Cellphone, Other Electronics At IIT Next Week

DOUGLAS — The Illinois Institute of Technology is collecting old computers, VCRs and other electronics for recycling on Sept. 23.

The university's electronic waste drop-off day will run 9 a.m.-noon Sept. 23 at 3241 S. Wabash Ave., east of the McCormick Tribune Campus Center.

Items like laptops, computer keyboards and mice, printers, tablets and cellphones all will be accepted, as well as other electronics.

The university will not delete any data on device,s and people should make sure they have removed all sensitive personal information from electronics before dropping them off.
