Bridgeport Burglars Breaking In Through Rear Windows, Police Say

BRIDGEPORT — Police are asking Bridgeport residents to be on the lookout after a string of burglaries in the neighborhood.

At least three homes in the area have been burglarized since Sept. 1, police said in a community alert issued Monday. In the incidents, one or more burglars gets into a home through a rear window or door during the daytime and steals property from inside, according to police.

The burglaries happened:

• Between 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 2900 block of South Archer Avenue

• Between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of West 27th Street

• Between 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday in the 1200 block of West 31st Place

No description of the burglars was made available. Anyone with information on the cases is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8283.
