Near West Side Shootings Have Wounded 4 People Since Saturday

CHICAGO — Shootings on the Near West Side have left four people wounded since Saturday, police said. 

• At 2:10 a.m. Sunday, a 27-year-old woman was in a gas station in the 100 block of North Western Avenue when someone fired shots, police said.

The woman was hit in her left hand and taken to University of Chicago Medicine, where her condition was not available but she was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 1:54 p.m. Saturday, three men were walking in the 300 block of South Campbell Avenue when someone in a silver car drove up and a person in the car fired shots, police said.

The men ran into a home and called for help, police said.

A 23-year-old man was hit in his hand and foot; a 28-year-old man was hit in his leg; and another 23-year-old man was hit in his leg. The three were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were not available, but they were listed as "stable," police said.

Two parked cars belonging to the men were hit by the gunfire as well, police said.
