CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man was shot dead in North Lawndale on Thursday morning, police said.
At 7:24 a.m., the man was standing outside in the 3800 block of West Flournoy Street when someone fired shots at him, police said. The man was hit multiple times, including in his neck and right arm.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, police said.
Terrence Johnson, of the 1000 block of North LeClaire, was pronounced dead at 7:53 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
The shooting might have been gang-related, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
