CHICAGO — All lanes of the northbound Dan Ryan Expressway were shut down for several hours Thursday afternoon after a shooting wounded two people near the 71st Street exit, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 1:43 p.m., according to state police.
Two men in their 20s were shot and took themselves to St. Bernard Hospital.
All traffic was being diverted off at 71st Street.
The lanes were reopened after 6 p.m.
