CHICAGO — Two men crashed a car after stealing it at gunpoint on the North Side, police said.

At 8:53 p.m. Tuesday, a 44-year-old man was parking his car in the 4000 block of North Drake Avenue when two men in black hooded sweatshirts walked up to him, police said. One of the men took out a gun and fired a shot into the air.

"Give me your truck," one of the men told the victim.

The victim handed over his keys for his 2001 Ford truck and the men drove off in the car, police said.

A short time later, the men hit four parked cars and crashed in the 2900 block of West Eastwood Avenue, police said. Officers took two people into custody.

No one was wounded by the gunfire during the carjacking, police said. It was not immediately clear if the two men had been injured in the crash.
