Humboldt Park Shootings Wound 2 People Early Wednesday

CHICAGO — Shootings in Humboldt Park and West Humboldt Park left two people wounded early Wednesday, police said.

• At 4:21 a.m., a 44-year-old man was in the 1700 block of North Lawndale Avenue when someone in a green Honda Pilot fired shots at him, police said.

The man was hit in his back and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 1:05 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was standing outside in the 1300 block of North Spaulding Avenue when a car drove by and someone inside the car fired shots at the woman, police said.

The woman was hit in her face below her cheek and was taken to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
