Kolby Craig, 33, Shot Dead, 6 Others Wounded Outside Banquet Center

CHICAGO — Seven people were shot, leaving one dead, in West Pullman early Sunday.

At 2:30 a.m., the victims were in the parking lot of a banquet center in the 11900 block of South Loomis Street when someone in a black SUV fired shots, police said.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Kolby Lee Craig, 33, of the 5600 block of South Ada, was pronounced dead at 2:35 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wounds in his chest in a homicide.

The other six victims:

• A 30-year-old man was shot in his left leg.

• A 32-year-old woman was shot in her right leg.

• A 33-year-old woman was shot in her left leg.

• A 32-year-old man was shot in his abdomen.

• A 31-year-old woman was shot in her left leg.

• A 36-year-old man was shot in his buttocks.

The attacker drove away after the shooting, police said, and no one was in custody.
