LAKEVIEW — Target plans to hire 75 people to staff its store opening in Lakeview this fall.

“We are excited to build an enthusiastic team of local talent with 75 new team members who will help serve the bustling Lakeview community,” said Michael Moore, store team leader. “We look forward to offering our guests a tailored product assortment and a convenient, inspiring shopping experience just steps from the Paulina Brown Line Station.”

To apply, got to Target.com/careers. Candidates will be given pre-scheduled interview times at a job fair from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 10-11 at the Target at 1200 N. Larrabee St.

Lakeview got its first Target late last month when a store opened at 3204 N. Clark St.

Branded as the Belmont Station Target, that 29,000-square-foot store carries women and men's clothing, jewelry, accessories, home goods and decor, produce, groceries, alcohol, electronics and office supplies, but with a pared-down selection much smaller than what's offered at most of the corporation's 1,816 stores.

The Target on Ashland will be a similar format.
