Kenyon Hill, 19, Dies 5 Days After Being Shot In Garfield Park

CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man died five days after being shot in his face in Garfield Park, officials said.

At 2:25 p.m. July 27, the man was walking with several other people in the 700 block of North Lawndale Avenue when someone chased after him and fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his face and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Kenyon Hill, of the 500 block of North Hamlin Street, was pronounced dead at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

No one was in custody.
