GRAND BOULEVARD — Avoid Pershing Road east of the Dan Ryan Expy. for the rest of the summer.
Metra will close the railroad underpass between LaSalle to Federal streets from Thursday through Sept. 8 to do repairs.
The work will require closing the road to both eastbound and westbound traffic for the next month.
The repairs will also reroute the No. 39 bus, which will jog down to 43rd Street when traveling east and go up to 35th Street when going west to avoid the construction.
One sidewalk is expected to remain open to pedestrians and the work is not expected to affect driver’s ability to get on or off of the expressway.
