CHICAGO — A 58-year-old man was found slain in his Englewood home on Thursday, officials said.
At 9 a.m., officers were called to the 1500 block of West 63rd Street for a report of a person not breathing, police said. They found the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's body had "indication of some trauma," police said.
The man was identified as Gregory Jackson, of the same block where hew as found dead, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Jackson was pronounced dead at 9:40 a.m.
An autopsy showed Jackson died from a subdural hematoma and multiple blunt force traumatic injuries in a homicide.
An investigation was ongoing, police said.
