Pilsen Shootings Wound 4, Including 13-Year-Old Boy, Police Say

PILSEN — Three shootings in less than nine hours left one boy and three men wounded in Pilsen early Sunday, police said.

• At 11:33 a.m. Sunday, a 13-year-old boy was shot in Pilsen, police said. The boy was on the sidewalk in the 1800 block of West 21st Street when a red car drove up and someone inside fired shots.

The boy was hit in his upper right thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was in "good" condition, police said. 

• At 3:25 a.m., a 20-year-old man was standing in the street in the 1900 block of South Shelby Court when someone in a passing silver-colored car fired shots.

The man was hit in his stomach and he took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 3 a.m., a 32-year-old man and several other people were standing in the street in the 2200 block of West 18th Place when someone fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his mouth and he took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

A second victim, a 30-year-old man, was driving his car when someone fired shots at him, police said. The man was hit in his back and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available, police said. 

No one was in custody.
