CHICAGO — A 49-year-old man died after a shooting in East Side on Friday, police said.

At 10:43 p.m., the man and another man, 54, were getting out of a car in the 10600 block of South Green Bay Avenue when someone in a white SUV fired shots, police said.

The 49-year-old was hit in his back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

The 54-year-old man was hit in his face and was taken to Northwester Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
