DOWNTOWN — Wednesday will be cloudy — but don't be fooled: it will be very, very hot.

The actual temperature will hit the low 90s, said National Weather Service meteorologist Amy Seeley, but high humidity will make it feel like it's about 100 degrees outside.

The Centers for Disease Control suggest people drink more water than usual; wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing; stay cool indoors; wear sunscreen and avoid leaving children or pets in cars during warm periods.

There's a chance of storms during the day, too, Seeley said, and there will be more clouds than sun.

Accuweather says that the hottest period of the day Wednesday will be in the 5 p.m. hour.

Thursday could also see some storms and rain, but the weather looks relatively clear after that.

The normal high temperature for this time of year in Chicago is 85 degrees, Seeley said.
