CHICAGO — Shootings left two people dead and 39 wounded this weekend, police said.

Of those, one person was killed and 15 wounded in shootings since Sunday morning.

• At 7:52 p.m. Sunday, a 34-year-old man was shot dead in Brighton Park. A woman, 34, was critically wounded.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 1:36 a.m. Monday, a 19-year-old man was shot in Auburn Gresham, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 900 block of West 78th Street when someone walked up to him and fired shots.

The man was hit in his right arm and taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 1:23 a.m., a 22-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were shot in Austin, police said. The two were standing on the sidewalk in the first block of South Leamington Avenue when they heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in the left side of his body and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said. The teen was hit in his right leg and was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where his condition was not available but police said he was listed as "stable."

The two were documented gang members, a police source said.

• At 11:01 p.m. Sunday, a 28-year-old man and 29-year-old man were shot in Fuller Park, police said. The two were in a car stopped at a red light in the 4300 block of South LaSalle Street when someone got out of a white van and fired shots.

The 29-year-old man was hit in his legs and the 28-year-old man was hit in his buttocks. They were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.

• At 10:36 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said. The man was in the street in the 6600 block of South Lowe Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his buttocks and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 10:21 p.m., a 40-year-old man was shot in Chicago Lawn, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 2700 block of West 66th Street when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit the right side of his body and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was in serious condition, police said.

• At 9:04 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in Chicago Lawn, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 6200 block of South Francisco Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his left leg and he took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 7:58 p.m., a 26-year-old woman and 19-year-old man were shot in Garfield Park, police said. The two were in the 4400 block of West Jackson Boulevard when they were hit.

The woman's head was grazed by a bullet and the man was hit in his left arm. They were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were in good condition, police said.

The man was uncooperative with investigators, a police source said.

• At 7:25 p.m., three people were shot in South Shore, police said. The victims were in the 3100 block of East 77th Street when someone fired shots at them and ran off.

A 15-year-old boy was hit in his lower back, a 20-year-old man was hit in his right forearm and a 37-year-old man was hit in his right leg. The three were taken to South Shore Hospital, where their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.

• At 4:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Little Village.

No one was in custody in these shootings.

Shootings killed one person and wounded 15 between Saturday and Sunday, and nine people were wounded in shootings Friday to Saturday.
