CHICAGO — A driver crashed into multiple cars while fleeing from chasing officers, police said.
At 4:25 p.m., officers tried to stop a Chevy Suburban in the 5200 block of South Western Avenue, suspicious the car was connected to a burglary, police said. The driver fled, going down 58th Street and hitting multiple parked cars between Honore Street and Wolcott Avenue.
A person then got out of the car and ran away, police said, but officers took the person into custody and charges were pending.
There were no reported injuries and an investigation was ongoing.
