CHICAGO — Shootings killed at least five people and wounded 50 over the weekend, police said.

Of those victims, one was killed and 10 were wounded in shootings since Sunday morning.

• At 11:35 p.m. Sunday, a 39-year-old man was found shot to death near the UIC Medical District.

In nonfatal shootings:

• At 1:10 a.m. Monday, a 38-year-old man was shot in South Shore, police said. The man was in the 7400 block of South Coles Avenue when he was shot in his right hand.

He was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition was not available, but he was listed as "stable," police said. The circumstances of the shooting are unknown.

The man was "highly intoxicated," a police source said, and he was uncooperative with officers.

• At 12:20 a.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in Hermosa, police said. The man was walking in the 1700 block of North Kildare Avenue when someone walked up to him and fired shots.

He was hit in his right leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available, but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 9:06 p.m., a man was shot in Little Village.

• At 9 p.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in Little Village.

• At 8:09 p.m., three people were shot in North Lawndale, police said. The victims were standing in the 3500 block of West Ogden when they heard shots and felt pain.

A 19-year-old man was hit in his right thigh, another 19-year-old man was hit in his left thigh and a 17-year-old was hit in his left arm. The three were at St. Anthony Hospital, where all were in good condition, police said.

• At 2:15 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in Gage Park, police said. The man was walking in the 5100 block of South Christiana Avenue when a car drove up and someone inside fired shots.

The man was hit in his stomach and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

• At 2 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was riding a bike in the 4900 block of West Adams Street when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his right hip and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

• At 11:57 a.m., a woman or girl was shot in Austin, police said. The victim was in the 5400 block of West Gladys Avenue when she was shot by someone she knew, police said.

The victim was hit in her leg and she took herself to Loretto Hospital, where she was in good condition, police said.

The shooting was possibly "domestic-related," a police source said. The victim's age was not immediately available.

No one was in custody in these shootings.

Shootings killed one person and wounded 21 between Saturday and Sunday, and three people were killed and 19 wounded in shootings Friday to Saturday.
