CHICAGO — Sauganash resident and Chicago Cubs super fan Don Savage, 99, will join ABC7 sports anchor Dionne Miller as a grand marshal of the "That's Edgebrook" Fourth of July Parade, organizers announced.

The parade, sponsored by the Edgebrook Community Association, steps off from Edgebrook Public School, 6525 N. Hiawatha Ave., at 11 a.m., and it's slated to wrap up at Wildwood Park, 6950 N. Hiawatha Ave., by noon.

The park will host a picnic full of lawn games and grilled eats, including burgers, brats and hot dogs. Attendees can pick up cold drinks and ice cream provided by The Chocolate Shoppe, 5337 W. Devon Ave.

They'll also be able to browse a poster gallery, or take photos with actors dressed as the Founding Fathers.

The honky-tonk band The Country Doctors will perform live.

More than 1,000 people attended last year's parade and picnic, organizer Lidia Pomaville said.
