UPTOWN — Save More Fresh Market is now officially open for business.
The grocery store at 4652 N. Sheridan Road, opened Wednesday and offers a variety of "international" goods, according to General Manager John Riveria.
"We've got from A to Z over here," he said. "Right now we want to specialize in produce and good meat."
The store also plans to open a section for flowers and a bakery, he said.
It does have a cafe inside the store offering espresso, macchiato, teas, smoothies and ice coffee.
The space was previously home to Fresh Harvest Market.
"This location has been vacant for a long time and we said, 'It's a good location for a business. Let's see what happens,'" Riveria said, adding they've focused on hiring locals for its staff.
The grocery store is open from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. everyday.
