Little Village Shooting Wounds Man, 23, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was shot and wounded in Little Village early Friday, police said.

At 2:37 a.m., the man was walking in the 2600 block of West 23rd Place when a car drove up and someone inside fired shots at the man, police said.

The man was hit in his leg and his side and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

No one was in custody.
