CHICAGO — Shootings have killed one person and wounded nine since Wednesday, police said.
• At 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old man was shot and killed in Englewood.
In non-fatal shootings:
• At 7 a.m. Thursday, a 29-year-old man took himself to the hospital after being shot earlier in Washington Park, police said. The man said that at 1:50 a.m. he was in the 5500 block of South State Street when he was shot in his leg.
The man went to Roseland Hospital at 7 a.m. He was in good condition, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
• At 10:47 p.m. Wednesday, three people were shot near Montrose Dog Beach in Uptown.
• At 9:38 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in Bridgeport.
• At 8:21 p.m., a 22-year-old man and 23-year-old man were wounded in a shooting in North Lawndale, police said. The men were walking in the 1200 block of South Avers Avenue when a dark-colored car pulled up and someone inside the car fired shots at the men.
The 22-year-old man had the left side of his face grazed by a bullet and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said. The 23-year-old man was hit in his right thigh and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
• At 7:54 p.m., someone was shot in the Near West Side.
• At 2:35 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in her eye by someone she knew in Roseland.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
