CHICAGO — Police have released photos of two men they say robbed a cellphone store Tuesday in McKinley Park.
At 9:45 a.m., the men walked into a store in the 3100 block of South Ashland Avenue and jumped over the counter, according to a Chicago Police news release. One of the men implied he had a gun.
The men took money and "numerous" cellphones and ran away, police said.
One of the men was in his 20s, black, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and 140-160 pounds, police said. He wore a black baseball hat, black T-shirt with white letters, blue underwear and black Adidas jogging pants with a white stripe. He had a tattoo that resembled curved lines on the right side of his face going from his eye to his cheek.
The other man was 18 to 22 years old, black, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 and 150-170 pounds, police said. He wore a gray and blue T-shirt with red letters, black underwear and torn, stone-washed jeans. He might have had frosted or light-colored tips in his hair.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the men was asked to call police at 312-747-8227.
