CHICAGO — A 29-year-old man was shot to death in Englewood on Wednesday, police said.
At 2:15 p.m., the man was in the 7000 block of South Parnell Avenue when he was shot in his chest, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
The man was identified as Chris Williams, of the same block where he was shot, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. He was pronounced dead at 2:35 a.m. and an autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
