CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man was shot to death in Garfield Ridge early Wednesday, police said.
At 1:15 a.m., the man was sitting in the passenger side of a Jeep in the 4500 block of South LeClaire Avenue when several people walked up and fired shots at the Jeep, police said.
The man was hit multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The man was identified as Duan Armfield, of the 4500 block of South LeClaire, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Armfield was pronounced dead at 1:45 a.m.
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
