Man Finds His Parents Stabbed To Death In Their Austin Home: Report

CHICAGO — A man found his parents stabbed to death in their Austin home on Sunday morning, according to police and published reports. 

At 1:10 a.m., the man came home to the 1400 block of North LeClaire Avenue and found his relatives stabbed, police said. A man and woman had been stabbed multiple times throughout their bodies and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The two were identified as Johnnie Ervin, 67, and Shirley Ervin, of the same block where they were killed, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Johnnie Ervin was pronounced dead at 1:20 a.m. and Shirley Ervin was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m.

ABC Chicago reports that the victims were a married couple and their son had come home to find them murdered. 

The circumstances of the murders were unknown and further details were not immediately available, police said.

No one was in custody.
