Shooting Near Lincoln Park's North Pond Wounds Man

CHICAGO — A man was shot while walking near Lincoln Park's North Pond early Saturday morning, police said.

The incident occurred in the 2500 block of North Stockton Avenue at 2:58 a.m. The man said he heard several gunshots before realizing he'd been shot in his left hand.

He was driven by an acquaintance to Stroger Hospital.

The man, who police describe as a documented gang member, refused to cooperate with detectives.

No one is in custody.
