CHICAGO — Two men stabbed each other over a "domestic-related issue" at North Avenue Beach on Tuesday night, police said.

The incident happened about 6:15 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Lake Shore Drive.

According to police, a 25-year-old man was stabbed in his chest, while a 35-year-old man sustained slashes to his face, knee and wrist. Both men were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The 25-year-old was in critical condition, CBS2 reported.

One had a knife and the other had a broken bottle, news reports said.

The stabbing comes after two teens were shot at the crowded 31st Street Beach about 7 p.m. Sunday.
