Little Village Shooting Wounds Man, 29; Attacker Shouted Gang Slogans

CHICAGO — A shooting in Little Village left a 29-year-old man wounded Sunday morning, police said.

At 9:55 a.m., the man was standing at the corner in the 2600 block of West 19th Street when a red-colored car drove by and a man or boy inside the car shouted gang slogans and fired shots at the man, police said.

The man was hit twice in his right leg and was hit in his right arm. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

No one was in custody.
