CHICAGO — A 16-year-old girl has been charged with robbing two people on the Pink Line, police said.

The teen took cellphones from two women during robberies on May 4 and May 8, according to Chicago Police.

During one of the robberies, police said the girl hit a 20-year-old woman, used pepper spray on her and then ran away.

The girl was arrested on Monday and, while being processed, she "became irate" and spit at an officer, police said.

The girl has been charged with armed robbery, robbery and aggravated battery, police said.
