CHICAGO — Police have released a sketch of a man they said sexually assaulted and robbed a woman last month in Chatham.

The woman was walking east on 79th Street between Michigan Avenue and Wabash Street at 4:30 a.m. April 24 when the knife-wielding man came up to her from behind and forced her into a nearby alley, police said.

The man then sexually assaulted the woman and robbed her, police said.

He is described as black, 20-25 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and weighing about 130 pounds. He has brown eyes and a medium complexion and was wearing dark clothing, police said.

Police asked anyone with information about the attack to call detectives at 312-747-8271.
