CHICAGO — Police are warning residents to be alert after a string of armed robberies on the South Side.
In each case, one or two young men robbed victims. In one case they were in a silver car, police said.
The robberies occurred:
• At 9:09 a.m. May 19 in the 2000 block of South Wentworth Avenue in Chinatown
• At 8:15 a.m. Friday in the 2600 block of South Stewart Avenue in Armour Square
• At 10:20 a.m. Friday in the 3000 block of West 25th Place in Little Village
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8382.
