CHICAGO — Shootings have killed one person and wounded nine since Wednesday, police said.

• At 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in South Shore.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 1:15 a.m. Thursday, a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old boy were shot in Little Village.

• At 11:05 p.m. Wednesday, a 42-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Grenshaw Street after getting into an argument with someone when a man walked up to him, took out a gun and fired a shot.

The victim was hit in his leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but police said he was listed as "stable."

• At 10:47 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was shot in Austin, police said. The boy was walking down the street in the 200 block of North Lockwood Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The boy was hit in his chest and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

• At 10 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot while walking outside in Heart of Chicago.

• At 5:39 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in Hermosa, police said. The man was driving in the 4000 block of West Palmer Street when he heard shots, felt pain and saw a black car with someone hanging out a side window and carrying a gun.

The man was hit in his back. He drove himself to St. Mary Hospital before being transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was in serious condition, police said.

• At 1:12 p.m., a 37-year-old man was shot in Chicago Lawn, police said. Officers responding to a call found the man shot multiple times in a home in the 6000 block of South Fairfield Avenue.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 12:53 p.m., a 41-year-old man was shot in South Shore, police said. The man was in the 2900 block of East 79th Street when he was shot in his leg.

The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition, police said.

Someone was in custody and a gun was found, police said.

• At 12:52 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in Gage Park, police said. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 2600 block of West 54th Street when a man in a red minivan got out of a car and fired shots.

The victim was hit in his upper right back and his left hip and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

No one was in custody unless otherwise noted.

Also, police said an officer shot a man, seriously wounding him, when the man pinned the officer between his car and another car.
